In 1992, Merv’s son Glenn officially joined the Eastside team. Armed with a degree in Automotive Management, Marketing, and his mechanic’s license; Glenn followed his passion to continue to build on his fathers’ vision.

Glenn officially took over the shop in 2000 and brought with him a fresh approach to the automotive repair business, combined with old-fashioned customer service, which has served as the trademark of Eastside Auto Service for five decades.

Eastside Auto Service has come a long way from the modest two-bay operation in the 1960’s.

Eastside Auto Service has provided comprehensive auto care to the Oakville community since opening its doors on Chartwell Road in March, 1969, and are proudly serving a third generation of families.

When partners Merv Colling and Jack Moed, started Eastside Auto Service as a humble two-bay service facility and used car sales business, their dedicated commitment to their community laid the foundation to becomingthe award winning automotive shop it is today.

COMMUNITY

Eastside Auto Service believes in giving back and helping to make a positive change. Locally, we support the Halton Regional Police Service Toys For Tots program every Christmas with the great help of the Oakville community. And globally we support the Christian Children’s Fund by sponsoring three children and their families in Burkina Faso, West Africa.
Glenn also pioneered an initiative called Auto Repair Shop-in-a-Box in February 2011, a project that provides automotive training for young men and women in Burkina Faso who are looking for a career in vehicle repair.

Formerly Fourth Line Auto Service, our Speers Road location was founded in 1979 and continues to be managed by Gino’s brother John. As our Speers Road facility undergoes a significant façade restoration, we continue to serve our customers with the same friendly smile that they’ve been used to for four decades. Both facilities embrace the same commitment to state-of-the-art systems and new technologies, combined with a solid foundation in family values and customer service that are the hallmark of Eastside Auto Service.

Eastside Auto Service is no longer the modest two-bay operation from the 1960s. With two great facilities and a dedicated team of 18, including licensed technicians, service advisors and managers it’s no wonder that Eastside Auto Service was awarded “Small Business of the Year” by the Oakville Chamber of Commerce in 2014.
