With over 780 million people around the world who do not have access to clean water, our goal is to change the lives of those in El Salvador by distributing and providing clean water - but we can't do it without your support. There is an estimated 842,000 people dying each year from diseases caused by unclean water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene habits, the majority of which are children in developing countries. In March of 2017, we will be embarking on a water project to provide clean water to many communities in the area to instill a positive, holistic change to some of El Salvador's more impoverished communities. What do you worry about during the holiday season? Some of us worry about picking the perfect gift. Others try to push the mounting credit card bills to the back of their minds. Still others lose sleep at the thought of one more trip through the crowded halls of Christmas jingles and anxious shoppers that are shopping malls this time of year. It's easy to get wrapped up in all the personal and family stress of the holidays, but at one point or another we end up in a warm, bright room with our family and friends, eating a regrettable amount of food and passing out gifts. Maybe it's cliché to suggest that not everyone gets to enjoy that warmth, but with the stress and clamour of the holidays, it's easy to push the thought from our minds. Seeing the pure joy that came from the people we interacted with in El Salvador was so profound - we couldn't thank you enough for all your generous support in making our trip to help change lives a reality. Our goal from the start was to be able to distribute and provide clean water for those in need while along the way educating people towards taking preventative measures to keep our world from infectious disease.​ Our Journey Begins Our journey began on March 12th when we arrived in Zacatecoluca, a small town in La Paz. Supporting children in our local community Eastside Auto Service is proud to continue its support of the Toys for Tots program. Together with a group of local independent auto repair facilities, they are donating $3,000 in support of the 2016 Toys for Tots campaign! The group of local businesses include: Eastside Auto Service, Mark's Auto Service, ShopPros, Sil's Complete Auto Service, and Stop N' Go Automotive.
